Our office hours are returning to 8:00 a.m. to 4:25 p.m.The lobby in the Traffic Violations Bureau office is open to customers for in-person assistance. All individuals entering the building are required to wear a cloth face covering and will be temperature tested for the safety of employees and the public. Additionally, we are strictly following social distancing guidelines including a limitation on the number of individuals allowed in our office lobbies at any time. Signage at our office will provide further instruction.
Traffic dockets scheduled for the week of August 24 - 28 will be heard as scheduled. By Order of the Judge, all other Traffic Court hearings scheduled after July 10th have been continued indefinitely until a future court date can be determined. Notices will be mailed when court dates have been rescheduled
The Traffic Violation Bureau is a General Sessions Office responsible for processing the citations issued by various law enforcement agencies for the violation of Metro ordinances and/or State motor vehicle codes. Scheduling court dates, maintaining the citation record and collecting all fines and fees are among several of the various duties and functions of the office.
