Go To Court
All Metro citations processed by the Traffic Violation Bureau are assigned a court date when the citation is written. Metro Court is held on Wednesday at 1:00 p.m. in Courtroom 1A on the first floor of the Justice A.A. Birch Building, located at 408 2nd Avenue, North, in downtown Nashville.
You should plan to appear on the court date that is written on the bottom of your citation if you want to have your case heard in court or if you have been cited for a vicious dog violation.
If you are fined in court, you should immediately go to the Traffic Violation Bureau and make payment. Failure to do so will result in the assessment of additional fees and possible garnishment of your wages, the assessment of a lien on your property and or a levy of your property.
